THE SYNOD OF ROME
The Synod of Rome is a minor Latin council dealing with the priestly
office of monks in the recently baptized kingdom of Kent. Among its few
surviving notices are the submission of the crown of England to the
authority of the Pope, as noted by king Aethelbert.
